Nearing the end of the 1st week

Image
One more day and I completed week one.  My water had to be modified due to my colitis problems but everything else I have completed.  My legs have been so sore the last couple days!  Usually when I start walking, my legs recover much sooner.  I guess due to being sick with covid last week, I am taking a little bit longer to rest up.  I am reading a book called dont overthink it, for my challenge reading 10 pages daily.  Its something I struggle with a lot, and something I need to work on. Today I did my 45 min outdoor work out raking leaves with the Husband.  Gentle yoga stretches at night for my indoor work out.  Our family is guilty of eating a lot of Mcdonalds, I am glad that my challenge keeps me away from fast food for 75 days!! I am finally allowed to go back to church tomorrow after 2 weeks of covid jail 😁 Here are a few of my progress pics from the week...

75 Hard challenge begins in 2 minutes!!  I have been fighting covid for the last 10 days!  My challenge will have to be modified due to still recovering from my illness.  The whole family but one also ended up with it!  So here is my first progress photo, I am not doing this challenge for weight loss, I am doing it to try to create healthier habits for myself!!  Hoping that I will be done fighting covid soon!!! Looking forward to watchiny my journey progress over the next 75 days 😊

Skipped on water today

Skipped drinking the water today and the eye darkness came back right away.  Challenge does not start until March 1 so I still have time to start drinking again.  I think the water drinking will remain the most difficult part of this challenge, plus the 45 min outdoor work out.  Seeing results like this though encourages me to try my best to stick with it 😉

Challenges are easier with friends!  We have a couple weeks to practice the idea of cold outdoor workouts.  Robin and I don't get much physical activity so she invited me to go walking with her in the mornings after she drops her kids off at school.  It was pretty cold out, we made it 25 min.  We have a couple weeks to work on lasting longer in the cold!  I don't think I would have a chance of meeting this challenge without having friends by my side!  Let's hope that by March my bladder adjusts to all the water I have been drinking, uptaking my fluid to a gallon a day!

Starting early increasing water intake!

Wow! In just one day of upping my water intake, my very black circles under my eyes have improved so much!  Yesterday had a lot of bathroom trips though, hoping that my bladder gets use to this and will stop having to pee all day.  I am going through an ulcerative Colitis flare up as I begin this challenge.  I am hopeful that it will not stop me from meeting my goals.  My outdoor work out is not going to be hard core.  Either walking the neighborhood with the dog or doing snow-shoveling in the drive way.  Its more important to me to create the self discipline to get outside and be active, then to have a really tough work out that I will fail at committing to.  Hoping friends will want to join me on some walks to make the outdoor cold part a little more manageable ❤️ Glad the weather will warm up as the challenge progresses!  Looking forward to watching my progress unfold 😊
